The German KEM Küppers' high-quality flow measurement solutions are based on more than 50 years of experience. KEM Küppersin specializes in the continuous development of flow measurement technologies and the evaluation of flow measurement with high-quality and innovative electronics. KEM Küppers calibrates mechanical flow meters with the same viscosity and parameters as in the application. The KEM Küppers range includes gear flow meters, which are measured by direct volume flow measurement. The gear flowmeter does not require direct piping sections and can be installed in a horizontal or vertical position. The gear flowmeter is robust and compact in size, has a high resolution and is highly resistant to pulsation. The gear flow meter also has a fast response time and can be used in applications with pressures up to 1035 bar. KEM Küppers also manufactures helical flow meters that are ideal for high viscosity fluids such as polyurethane pulp. The features of helical flowmeters include a large measuring range and very high resolution as well as low pressure drop. KEM Küppers also manufactures turbine flow meters. Turbine flowmeters have an open measuring chamber so the measurement method is based on indirect volume flow measurement, so the measurement is sensitive to changes in viscosity. The advantages of turbine flow measurement are, for example, that if the turbine freezes for some reason, the flow is maintained in the process. Turbine flow meters do not have seals or wet joints that could wear out during use. The turbine flow meter causes only a small pressure drop and requires laminar flow so there must be straight pipe sections before and after the meter. The KEM Küppers range also includes a TRICOR mass flow meter. TRICOR describes the fact that the meter gives three different measurements, ie mass flow or volume flow, density and temperature. Mass Flow Metercommissioning is quick and easy and all parameters can be changed on the meter display. The Coriolis mass flow meter is based directly on mass flow milling so changes in the properties of the substance such as electricality, temperature or viscosity do not affect the operation of the meter.
